About this tour
This impressive tour starts at Revolution square, the political center of Bucharest, where the most important historical events took place. There are many sights on this square such as the former Royal Palace, the Athenaeum concert hall and Athenee Palace, the heart of espionage. Taste the associated historic Covrig, a salty snack that was introduced by German merchants in medieval times. Here you will learn that Romania has 3 different regions with different traditions and cuisines. Do you want to know why? Listen to the interesting stories about the history of this street told by your guide.
Go back in time and walk to the heart of medieval Bucharest, the Old Town. Get in touch with the different influences on Romanian food and get to know the dishes such as the Balkan mici (skinless sausages), the Ottoman sarmale (stuffed cabbage leaves) and more! On your way to the last destination you will see the famed People's Palace, the second largest building in the world. When you arrive at a traditional Hanu, you will enjoy a delightful 3 courses dinner and learn everything about the history and geography.
