Local Hosts turns tourists into locals and locals into tourists. We know that during a tour it's best to stop for refreshments and quick bites! Thus, we've included them in all our tours. Join us for a different experience in small groups and off-the-beaten-path views! Some people call this neighborhood the Montmartre of Bucharest (because of its beautiful 19th-century architecture) but we believe in calling a spade a spade and a fig a fig. So we’ll tell you the real local story. We start from the busy Roman Square and move on to quiet, hidden old streets to visit a turn of the century villa. Then we get into the new creative quarter, checking out reverse graffiti art and artsy courtyards where we'll sneak you in. On the way, we will make a stop to try out some local treats and refreshments. We will then dive into the eclectic architectural styles that keep the old Mahallas organic structure alive ending the tour close to the Old Town.

That's Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Not Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Very poor, folks! (That's all, but since you insist on a minimum of 83 signs: great places, both of them, but they have very little in common.)

I came to Bucharest last year and did not take a tour with Mircea ( a big mistake! ), this time I took 2 tours with Mircea in the last 2 days and i enjoyed them so much! Mircea gave me a different view of the City and I started to like it! Mircea's knowledge of the City and his passion for architecture of Bucharest is amazing, we learned so much and cannot stop admiring the beautiful houses in various different areas, it was a feast of the city culture between 1900 to 1950s! Enjoy this tour and it will make you to see a very different side of Bucharest.

It was an amazing tour. I saw places, I would not find on my own. We visited old houses, famous streets, a market, an old villa and interesting street art. The guide made it so special. He knows everything about Bukarest. We had lunch and later on sausages, try the eggplant salad - tasty. Some beers, a lot of talking and getting to know each other and the life in Bukarest. It were 6 hours that just flew by. Moreover, he gave me tips for restaurants and more places to visit. The tour is really worth it. Reserve your Ticket!!!
