We had a great time on our tour. It was a nice way to check another country off the list. The historic sites were beautiful but it was also interesting during the drive just to look out the window and see the country, cities, buildings, etc. Be prepared for traffic at the border crossing. Our tour guide Serban is highly recommended. Not only is he a wealth of knowledge and very personable, his creative driving helped us get around some troubling traffic situations. You should definitely request him if booking this tour. Taking his suggestions really maximized our time on the trip. There was a total of 6 on the tour: my husband and I were paired with 4 lovely young ladies from Holland. We all got along so well!

We zijn op Tour geweest met Serban naar Bulgarije. Sochtends werden wij opgehaald met een 9-persoonsbus. De gids was iets te laat bij het ophaalpunt, dus dat was vervelend. Serban vertelde vanaf de start van de dag al veel over Boekarest en de geschiedenis. Het was gezellig in de bus en we hebben veel geleerd. De grens was op de heenweg geen enkel probleem want de gids was ervaren in het verkeer. In Bulgarije hebben we meerdere plekken bezocht, en we konden steeds in overleg met elkaar over hoe lang we ergens bleven. We hebben gezellig samen gegeten, en we zijn samen naar het fort geweest. Op de terugweg hadden we pech bij de grens, door een ongeluk. Serban had genoeg mee om ons te vermaken. Hij zocht ook over de gehele dag schone toiletten voor iedereen, en hij was heel behulpzaam.

Would have liked to spend more time in the charming city of Veliko Tarnovo, the highlight of this tour. Drive was comfortable
