A walk through communist Bucharest with Alexandria (Ali) was extremely informative and enjoyable. It proved a memorable excursion with Ali balancing a traumatic period of Romania’s history using her encyclopaedic knowledge of events post World War II and combing it with humour and sensitivity. This tour is highly recommended as it leaves the tourists with a richer understanding of how far Bucharest has travelled on its journey to transform itself into a modern day democratic society amidst on-going challenges. We wish them well.

My son and I went on the 'communism in Bucharest' tour last week while we were in town for the United game and we were not disappointed. Easy meeting point and Ali was our tour guide. She proved to be extremely knowledgeable on the subject and was able to answer all our questions. We walked for 2.5hrs but it only seemed like 1hr such was how much we enjoyed it. If you are in Bucharest and want to get a really good idea of what communism did and has done to the city, I could not recommend this tour any higher. Thanks Ali.
