Terrace of the Elephants, Siem Reap, Cambodia We spend walking passing the high terrace of Leper King. The stone monarch is absolutely naked, his hair is plaited and he sits in the Javanese fashion. The legs are too short for the torso, and the forms, much too rounded, lack the strong protuberances of manly muscles; but, however glaring are his defects, he has many beauties, and as a study of character he is perhaps the masterpiece of Khmer sculpture 15 minutes

Located approximately one kilometer east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray, it was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. We spent a wonderful day with Phat Sok our driver and Seiha our guide.
We went around with a 2 year old and my wife 6 months pregnant. They had everything planned for the tour and it is adapted to our needs.
Seiha is an excellent guide who introduced us to Khmer culture and temple history.
We highly recommend them!
