We booked an olive oil tasting with Francesca to learn about olive oil but we got so much more! She showed us around the ancient restored olive oil mill, explained how you make a high quality oil and taught us how you can taste different types of oil. She is very knowledgeable but also fun and enthusiastic. We tasted some of their wines and we had a wonderful home cooked lunch. The family also has a beautiful b&b in Navelli. We loved it and highly recommend it if you are looking for an authentic Abruzzo experience.

It was fascinating and fun to learn about how they produce olive oil now and in the old days and get to practice how to define a good olive oil. It was very informative, pedagogic and joyful with good food! Be aware it’s not a wine tasting per se where you taste many different whines. It’s a whole olive oil and food tasting experience where a glass of whine is included. It still exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anybody!
