Its structure, designed by Senator Devincenzi, is unique in its kind and in Italy only one other winery located in Sicily has the same architecture. Inside we still keep one of the largest barrels in Europe, of 1000 hectoliters! We are within a Nature Reserve and our wines are produced with SQNPI certification, that is Sustainable Quality.

    Discover the most historic winery in Abruzzo: Mazzarosa Winery, since 1863! After a brief overview of the vineyards and olive groves we cultivate and our history, the tour includes a visit to the cellar and the barrel cellar: here you will learn about the aging methods of our wines and you will have the opportunity to see the largest barrel in Europe, from 1000 hectoliters! Together with our staff you will continue with the tasting: 5 wines that represent the Abruzzo tradition, but always with an eye towards innovation and sustainable quality, accompanied by an aperitif with bruschetta together with our oil, cold cuts and cheeses typical of the area, ending with Abruzzo cantuccini, the perfect pairing with one of the most representative sweet wines of Abruzzo, Vino Cotto. Typical Abruzzese Products, we offer two types of cheese, two types of cured meats and bruschetta Cantuccini Abruzzesi, we offer in combination with our dessert wine "Vino Cotto"

Amazing wine and amazing presentation. The tour was done by an actual wine maker rather than just a tour guide type. Amazing pairings as well. Great flavors and of course great memories. Accessible by train w a little walking or a cheap taxi from the main station.

E' la cantina più antica della regione e la visita permette di vedere gli ambienti interni della struttura datata 1863 cui segue una degustazione di vini e piatti locali in una sala molto ben arredata e accogliente e per finire si visita la parte di cantina che ospita le botti di legno per concludersi con la visione della più grande botte d'Europa dalla capacità di 1000 hl! Vi accompagna il giovane enologo Edoardo che spiega tutti i passaggi della vinificazione oltre a guidarvi nella degustazione dei loro vini tra cui spicca, a mio parere, un'ottima riserva di Colline teramane e il vin cotto di cui ignoravo l'esistenza, ma che ho apprezzato moltissimo. L'appuntamento con Edoardo è nel prossimo futuro per assaggiare il frutto del suo lavoro in cantina!
