Archaeological Zone of Xochicalco, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico Xochicalco is a rural town located next to the pre-Columbian ruins of the Archaeological Zone of Xochicalco, southwest of Cuernavaca. The ruins include well-preserved pyramids, sports courts and an observatory, in addition to the Site Museum. Not far away, on the main road on the outskirts of town, there are a handful of simple restaurants offering regional cuisine, and there is also El Rodeo, a tranquil lake that is a popular destination for fishing and boating. 120 minutes
