Therefore caskets are designed to reflect the earthly profession of the deceased with the belief that they can continue to practice this profession in the other world. Hence a bus driver will be buried in a bus, a teacher in a book, a doctor in a syringe, etc.

Our tour guide extraordinaire Fuseini Nawarui and the staff of Hausa Tours were the best. We were pampered and educated on the customs and traditions of Ghanian culture. From Accra to Kumasi and Cape Coast and areas in between. Many of us that have read about or have connections were able to rekindle our spirit each and every day of this 10 day tour. The foods were excellent but most of all the hospitality and genuine attention of the people to our visit was second to none. This was our initial visit and we are planning on returning soon.
