Our tours with Foster, a manager and expert Guide with Kadelo travels, was an amazing adventure! Booking and arrangements for a pickup at our hotel outside of the Accra area was seamless. We enjoyed our first day tour of the Volta region so much, we booked another day tour in Accra and Aburi.
For the Volta tour, we were treated to a fresh light breakfast on the way to visit a village where monkeys are treated like family and will sit on your shoulder and eat out of your hand. This was followed by an active but flat hike to the truly wondrous Wli Waterfalls, where we swam in the clear water and under the (fairly strong) falls, were treated to a flurry of bats flying overhead, and had the most magical time connecting with locals. To top things off we had a fresh and delicious lunch ready for us upon our return from the falls.
In Accra, we enjoyed the views of all of Accra from the higher elevation and found ourselves marveling at the many different plants and historic sites during our tour with Maxwell at Aburi Botanical gardens. Foster treated us to some fresh and delicious palm wine and we continued our day with lots more learning at the W.E.B. Du Bois Center for Panafricanism, the National Museum of Ghana, Independence Square and the Kwame Nkrumah Museum and Memorial Park. The day was capped off by an eventful visit to the Arts and Cultural Center.
Please, if you want to enjoy your trip to Ghana to the fullest, book with Kadelo Travels and ask for Foster!! He's a wonderful tour guide and phenomenal photographer.
