    We offer the city walking or car with driver/guide where you’ll meet the local and visit all the best sightseeing with coffee and lunch breaks on your way, which will lead by a tour guide, as an escort. Start the day looking down on Addis Ababa from Entoto Mountain, the capital of Ethiopia before Addis Ababa. Here you will have panoramic views of the city with fresh air from the eucalyptus forests. Here you will visit the Entoto Maryam church and museum.

    After the Entoto Hill visit, proceed down to Addis Ababa via Shiro Meda, the city’s largest market for traditional clothes and campus of Addis Ababa University to the ethnographic museum, with great displays of the many cultures of Ethiopia, housed in the former palace of Haile-Selassie. You will then continue with a visit to the National Museum, where Ethiopia’s oldest resident, Lucy, is housed. Before you head to Mercato, you will visit the Red Terror Museum and receive a tour in English from a survivor of the Red Terror. It was a very informative and heart-breaking account of the recent history of Ethiopia.

    Finish the day with shopping in Mercato, the local marketplace which is said to be Africa’s largest open-air market. I've got the best possible service, as for me. I had a really good guide and great driver. He was very attentive: I did video on the way with opened windows and driver closed window for safety and said me I can continue to video street life. I liked traditional clothing market a lot: if you want to have really beautiful souvenir from Ethiopia, I think Shiromeda ( I'm not sure, if I wrote it correctly..) is the best possible place)) I really highly appreciative for the service I had. We visited Mercato market and I felt totally safe there: without a guide I would never go there. But with the guide it was very interesting and safe visit. The tour is flexible and it's great: you can choose what is interesting for you. We bought good coffee on the way and also I've tasted avocado and mango juice)) The owner of company is great and treated me in the best way)) Highly recommended Ethio Travel and Tours for your tours through Ethiopia and Addis.

Thank you very much! Went to the Museum and then headed to the Shola Market to see coffees and spices. My tour guide was wonderful, even taking me to a local restaurant he frequents! I recommend ETT especially if you want to save on cost yet customise your trip (even if you’re just in transit!).
