I ran with a local trainer from around January or Feburary until I left Addis in June. I had tried for years to get into a running routine and never managed. I ran 3 days a week, and absolutely loved it. It was such a good way to start my mornings, and knowing that I had someone coming to meet me, helped me get up those early mornings to get moving and I felt so fresh. The trainer I had was patient with me (running at altitude is no joke!!), and really helped me improve my running. Run Africa as an organization was also super flexible to meet my needs, allowing me to run near my home in Bole due to my early start at work, and then I ran 1X per week in the forests. One of the best exeriences I had while in Ethiopia and also had the opportunity to really get to know my trainer. Loved it and highly, highly recommend using them.
