    Pick up from your hotel at 5:00 AM and drive through the dramatic, cultivated hills define Rwanda arriving at Akagera National Park 8:00AM.

    Enjoy an optional Boat Safari at Lake Ihema as you drift along the forest fringed body of water on the midst of hippos resting and Nile crocodiles patrolling for breakfast. The lake is also rich in birdlife with over 450 different species.

    Spend an entire day in Akagera a spectacular chain of low grassy mountains that slope down to a tract of undulating savannah, hemmed in by an extensive wetland comprising a dozen lakes, extensive papyrus swamps. Search for Lions, Rhino, buffalos, elephants, Maasai giraffe, Burchell’s zebra, warthog, olive baboon, vervet, antelopes and other animals to your heart's content

We saw so many animals and Emilie was so such a good driver and guide. Seriously he could not have been better at looking after us and really went the extra mile to ensure a good time. Akagera itself was very pretty and the car was very comfortable.

We had a great trip to the Park in the morning where we got to see the country outside of Kigali. Once at Akagera, we encountered many animals and got to appreciate the beautiful scenery. Our guide was knowledgable, polite, and funny. Would highly recommend!

Augustin was an amazing guide! He knew the park extremely well and managed to show me plenty of interesting animals that I hoped to see. I'd recommend requesting Augustin as your guide if possible, he did a tremendous job!
