My husband and I book this tour. Dale was AMAZING! He took his time with us and showed us different angles to take pictures. This tour was the best and we thank him so much for showing us the beauty of Skagway. I would highly recommend Dale and this tour to everyone.

My Skagway In Focus Photo Tour (Princess Cruise) with Paul was outstanding! Paul was personable, he got to know about each of us, our photography skill level, types of photography interests ( landscapes, portait, etc). Paul readily shared his years of experience when coaching, and guidiing us us to a better shot. Paul's knowedge of the history of Skagway was intersting and entertaining, he also has a sublte and smart sense of humor. He knows his craft, knows the area and it was pleasure to experience this piece of Alaska with him as our guide.

10/10 LOVED this tour!!!
Loved spending the morning with professional photographer Paul and our group of 6. Was overjoyed by the one-on-one coaching he gave each of us, how he took us to lots of great spots (including across the US/Canada border!), and how he included town history while driving us to each photo location. The most important part of a photo tour is that we were never rushed, but got to see a lot of places! It was also important for me to feel like I was going off the beaten path, and Skagway is a small enough town that you feel that, especially if you have someone to guide you to great spots.
As a professional photographer myself, when the tour advertised that I would learn something new, I thought that promise was...optimistic. But sure enough, I learned something new about my D850! And I noticed Paul showing a woman who just had her iPhone some tricks that I didn't know. So when they say this is for all skill levels, that is true!
Paul is easy-going, knowledgeable, and has a real love for the beauty of the place. It was a joy having him as a guide. I'm sad I didn't insist my husband come with me, because he would've loved it, just because of the beauty of the area.
EXCELLENT TOUR AND GUIDE! Go on this and the train, and you'll have a blast.
P.S. About the photos posted on TripAdvisor. Some places I recognize and some I don't, so I conclude that each tour must be different...depending on the weather, size of tour group, time of year, and how many hours the tour is. At the beginning of the tour, Paul asked us what kind of photography we wanted to focus on and based his tour around that.
