The guide, Carlos was full of very interesting facts, not only about the wine and the vineyards, but also on the region of Algarve. the staff at the vineyards were very welcoming and friendly and the wine tasting was instructive and very professional. The wines were excellent. The couple of hours we spent in Silves was really enjoyable and was a welcome break during the tour. It was an excellent tour and well worth the cost.

Our guide, Carlos, was great, picking us up from our hotel and skillfully navigating us and the other 5 members of the group to our destinations. We learned a lot about wine making in the Algarve and enjoyed tastings at two relatively new wineries. One thing we learned is that wine production in Algarve has undergone some changes in the last couple of decades, so if you're wanting to taste Vinho Verde or Port, you're in the wrong region of Portugal! :-)
