I did the pottery experience from AlgarvianRoots together with my parents and we had the best time. We spent the afternoon learning the different techniques of Pottery. José is a really talented local artist and showed us how to work the wheel to create beautiful vases and bowls. At the end of it, everyone produced their own piece on the wheel and a small piece made without the wheel - I made a little cat statue :) During our stay Francisco told us more about the area and we had local snacks such as fig stars and fresh orange juice. This was definitely one of our highlights on the holiday. I can highly recommend this experience if you want to do something different and get a feeling for local lifestyle and handicraft. We are already planning on booking another experience / tour with AlgarvianRoots for the next trip. Big Thanks to Francisco and José - keep up the great work :)
