    Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.

Norhan at Ramasside Tours was our private guide for two days in Alexandria. We were on a cruise and booked the complete tour of the city as a private shore excursion. Since we are older, we chose to see the city over two days rather than in one long day. We had the same team for both days and they were excellent. Norhan has a deep knowledge and love of Egyptian history and archaeology. She was able to answer all our questions about the sights we were seeing - and informed us about much more as well. Her English is good and she was extremely kind and attentive to what interested us, our preferred pace, and to our physical limitations. She ensured that we saw everything on our customized itinerary and suggested other possibilities as well. Booking through and paying Ramasside was easy and they were very responsive to our requests for a customized tour. Their proposal exactly met our requests. Shortly before we arrived, they sent clear information about where to meet as well as the name, phone number and photo of our guide. When we reached the meeting point, Osama, their operations manager, was there to greet us and Norhan and the car arrived promptly thereafter. The car was new and clean and our driver, Mohammed, was very good. The traffic in Alexandria is chaotic and the drivers are erratic, but we always felt safe with Mohammed at the wheel. We would highly recommend Norhan and Ramasside Tours to anyone visiting Egypt.

Paula was our tour guide. He was very participant centered. Throughout the entire tour he constantly “checked-in” on us and considered that we each had different goals for this tour. He was organized, adaptable, and extremely kind. His knowledge of the sites and enthusiasm for his job was amazing! The tour itself and the itinerary was outstanding.

A pretty solid tour of Alexandra. Ride was smooth with a rest stop. Visited almost all the top sights to see so if your not in Alexandra and have an extra day, this tour is perfect.
