We had a very good experience with Mahmoud (Mamu). He showed us all the sights in Alexandria, we explored the catacombs and great library, we walked in to the places that were closed because of Ramadan (he had a magic keys). He took us to Rashid city, we saw a lot of osman architecture, he treated us with the street food (it was great by the way) right in front of the place where Nile meets Atlantic. Mamu was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend Mamu as a tour guide if you want to explore the city like Egyptian;) we miss the chance to be his guests in his house but we definitely come back for it
