The schedule/programme was very comprehensive and included more than enough sites and experiences to give you a good taste of Egypt and it also included nice fun breaks for the children. So all in all a well thought itinerary. I would say the cruise in the Nile was by far the best part of the trip along with the - must do - optional hot air balloon experience in Luxor. Snorkelling in Hurghada is also something one should not miss out on. The transfers and guides were also well organized - for an Arabic country - meaning no waiting for longer than 15' and the guides were knowledgeable, very accommodating with the groups needs and spoke good English. The downside of the tour has been the choice of hotels. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 12 and all hotel bookings (2 separate nights in Cairo and 1 night in in Hurghada) were made for 2 double and 1 single bed!!!! So 3 spaces for 4 people (while in the cruise the booking was for two double rooms) On top of this all 3 hotels were very old and not so well maintained - especially the one in Hurghada where the water in the very old and dirty shower was barely running and the poorly maintained hair dryer puffed in the hands of my daughter...DANGEROUS!! It is quite indicative that the rating of the three hotels in Booking.com was betweem 6.5!!!! and 7.4... So the agent's choice of hotels along with the respective arrangements ruined what would have been a good and potentially recommended experience. Shame.
