The pyramids and the Valley of the Kings are worth visiting. It was an amazing experience. The trip was on the whole fine. The tourist guide, Tarek Ibrahim, was knowledgeable. He knows much about the history and really loves his hometown Luxor. He was eager to share his information with us. He was humorous and dealt with the unexpected situation flexibly. Therefore it was great to spend time on the trip there with him. The cruise we stayed was nice too. The rest of the trip was fine: The drivers were always punctual and drove carefully. However, the hotel we stayed in Giza was below standard. It was claimed to be a 4-star hotel while I thought it was a 2-star one. With this budget, I don't expect anything luxury but the hotel can be better. It was old and the shower in our room was broken and water just leaked along the tube when showering. Lastly, all the extrance fee, the drinks(for the meals included) and the tips are not included. Must prepare to pay extra. :)
