    You will be picked up from your hotel between 4-5:30am in an air conditioned bus and will be taken to Cairo Airport for your morning flight to Luxor. Arriving in Luxor at 7am, subject to flight schedule, you will be met by your guide for the day. Head to the west band, it is known as the city of dead and is the funerary complex of the Ancient Egyptians. You will visit the valley of kings, the ancient cemetery of pharaohs of the new kingdom. Hidden in the mountains between the tow limestone hills of Gurna, the valley of kings holds 63 registered tombs and where three more tombs have recently been discovered. Visit the Hatshepsut Temple, a mortuary temple with a unique design as it is the only temple in Egypt built in terrace formation into the cliff face. Hatshepsut was a famous female pharaoh who wore a false beard and all the trappings of male pharaohs in order to claim the throne for herself. Next, visit the Memnon statues. They are the only remaining statues in front of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III and show the pharaoh sitting on his throne. Then cross the Nile to the East Bank for Lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included). Your last stop in this tour is the Karnak Temples, the largest ancient temple complex in Egypt. Karnak Temple complex is one of the major sites of Egypt and within its bounds the sacred energies of Ancient Egypt can still be felt. You will also see the Luxor Temple known as Temple of the Gods. Finally, return to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Arriving in Cairo at around 7pm, subject to the flight schedule, you will then be taken back to your accommodations.

We organised a private day tour to Luxor from Sharm-El-Sheikh. The organisation was terrible. It took me two weeks of chasing the company for them to finally confirm our booking & payment. Two days before our tour I received a message telling me the day of our trip had changed, and we would be going tomorrow. We only received details of pickup times, flight times etc. the evening before the tour. Once we were in Luxor the tour went well, however trying to deal with the company was incredibly frustrating. Would not use them again.

Hice la reserva de esta actividad con una antelación de dos meses y medio aproximadamente. Me gustó la idea de hacer esta visita en un día completo y con un guía de habla hispana, tal como lo ofrecían. Pagué anticipadamente con tarjeta de crédito tal como lo especificaban. El día anterior a la excursión privada, me envían una mensaje diciendo que no encontraban un guía que hablara en español, por lo tanto iba a ser un guía de habla inglesa. Les pedí que intentaran ubicar uno que hablara español o en su defecto italiano, pero me respondieron que no lo consiguieron, y si lo deseaba podía dar de baja la excursión y me devolvían el dinero. Le comenté que había sacado la excursión con suficiente tiempo como para que pudieran organizarse, pero quedé ante la situación de ver Luxor con un guía en inglés o perder totalmente la oportunidad. Obviamente fui a la excursión privada, porque no sé si podré volver a Egipto en otra oportunidad. El guía trató de hablar lo más claro posible para que entendiéramos que lo que quería expresar, pero en realidad entendí menos de la mitad de la historia que nos contaba. Quedamos decepcionados porque a menos de 12 hora de comenzar la excursión me avisaron del problema y si no me gustaba las opciones que me presentaban, podía pedir el reembolso. El resto de la excursión, es decir traslados, pasajes aéreos, y almuerzo estuvieron bien.
