Dear Tripadvisor, you are AUS$48 more expensive with this tour than booking direct with Ramasside Tours & they include lunch! Please sharpen your pencils! Who is pocketing the difference?

We had a wonderful time on our tour today. It was interesting to see where the Rosetta Stone was found, meeting with locals, and a casual boat ride. The driver and guide were punctual and very informative and accommodating.

Rashid (otherwise known as Rosetta) is where the famous stele was found that now rests in the British Museum. The Rosetta Stone was written in three different languages: Egyptian demonic script, Greek and Hieroglyphics and gave a direct clue to the transcription of Hieroglyphics. This town is located where the Nile Delta meets the Mediterranean Sea. Important industries are fresh and saltwater fishing, ship building and brick making.
