The tour was interesting and we saw a lot about the Algarve. But we didn't get the things promised on internet. No jam, honey, firewater. Our guide Carla took us to a small coffeeshop in Alte where it was carnaval. We spent a lot of time entering the village just for a drink we had to pay ourselves in the middle of a lot of noice. People at the back of the Jeep were not able to understand what she said. Witch was a pitty because it was interesting. She knew a lot. The Castle was closed. It was a pitty.

Zebra tours is one of the best tour organisators in town. With quality programs, guides and equipment. The tour in to interior is great, especialy if you experienced just the coast. We saw some genuine villages, a castle, orchards of almonds, oranges, carob trees, olives, peaches... Our driver and guide Carla was atentive, fun, knowledgable and talkative. We learnd a lot about life in the interior of Algarve and in Portugal in general. I would really recomend to take a tour with them!

First, the guide was brilliant. He was very proud and knowledgeable of Portugal. He was funny but sadly oblivious to the conditions his guests were in in the back of the jeep. The jeep wasn't open-topped and EIGHT people were squashed into the back (sitting face to face on two seats running opposite one another). We had nothing to hold onto but the seat between our legs. It was hot and uncomfortable and at one point I fell forward against a stranger. The guide pointed out things of interest to us but we were sitting higher than the him and had to bend to look, not easy when you're all jammed together. In the tour book, we were supposed to taste honey and jams, swim in 'sparkling' waters, sample liquors and visit old villages. We passed villages and stopped somewhere briefly for 30 mins, but I'm not sure where. It wasn't a village. Bought water and used a loo that wasn't fit to be used. The highest point was the best part of the trip, and we took fabulous pictures of the view. We stopped at a cafe to sample 'fire water' which was a small sample but no choice to buy or find out anything about it. No jam or honey. We could only stay 30 minutes, so had to rush our coffee and then back in the jeep to listen to more of the guide's monologue of the country. The whole trip was 4.5 hours and I couldn't wait for it to end.
