I was enjoying my trip with Hussain at first, but things changed when he saw I was low on cash. He became cold, rushed me out of the market, and even walked off nearly leaving me and my kids behind. He also made comments about me spending money which means he was frightened he won’t get a tip at the end of the trip. Also while we were at the restaurant and got the bill we were trying to see how much we had to pay in £’s and Hussain was trying to get us to pay more but luckily I had my conversion calculator so I saw what the correct price and it was nowhere near what he was suggesting. He later texted, claiming my tip was too low and was expecting more. To make matters worse, Hussain wasn’t my original guide, my scheduled guide never showed up or communicated and even after 2 hours Viator didn’t respond to my messages after asking for an update. These trips are expensive and Viator needs to take responsibility for the guides they employ.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience on our Cairo Full Day Excursion, thanks to our guide, Ahmed Gaber, and our driver, George. They picked us up promptly, and we spent an unforgettable 8 hours visiting key sites, including the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, Khan El Khalili bazaar, and several historic churches in Old Cairo. Ahmed’s knowledge and passion for Cairo’s history added so much to our visit, and we felt well taken care of throughout. He also took us to a wonderful spot for lunch, which was a highlight of our day. Overall, we were very impressed with their professionalism, warmth, and expertise, making this a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Loved the pyramids, Sphinx, bazaars, Al Khalili market, beef lunch, bazaars papyrus display & spice shops. Gamel was superb! Very enjoyable and enlightening. He always offered to take pics of us. Showed us the smoothest way to get from one point to another. Gamel was there every step of the way. Thank you Gamel & Viator.
