We offer a tour for a small group to enjoy togetherness and excitement while hunting for Northern Lights in the beautiful landscapes of the Alta Fjord. We arrange organized guided tours since 2007 and have the knowledge about how to find the Northern Lights if the conditions are there. On our tours you normally will have 80-90 % chance of seeing this spectacular view. You will be offered a reindeer skin to lay on. While enjoying the great outdoors and waiting for the green lady, we will share with you local stories about Norwegian way of living and the local history from the Stone Age, Sami culture, reindeer-herding, wildlife, Second World War and the modern society in Alta and Finnmark. During the tour we serve a taste of warm and cold snacks and beverages (alternative to vegans, etc.). We are normally back in Alta Center just over midnight.

    We will start the tour from Alta Center with the opportunity to pass by the cathedral of the Northern Lights and to enjoy the impressing view of the landscapes in the Alta Fjord. In our way through Alta we will give you a briefing about this natural phenomenon and the conditions of the day, that leads us to the best place to enjoy them in that night.

Stig was a fantastic guide who did all he could to find us the northern lights. He also regaled us with stories and interesting facts about his town and country. He and his wife made us very welcome with hot drinks and pastries around a camp fire in their own garden with amazing views

My friend and I recently did this tour with Diamela and Stig. I wasn't sure that we'd need to get away from the city lights to see the Northern Lights, but I have to say, it was well worth the drive out of town. We went to three different spots and I got my best photos of Lady Aurora on this tour. Stig is a talented driver on icy roads and Diamela is a fabulous host fitting people expertly with gear. She introduced us to her "retired" husky Loki as we warmed up around the campfire with late night snacks. they followed up with photos the next day! It was great! We took the snowmobile tour with them the next morning and had even more fun! I thoroughly recommend any tour that Alta Adventure offers!

Abholung erfolgte direkt am Hafen. Nachdem alle perfekt für die kalte Nacht gerüstet waren ging es los zur Nordlichtjagt. Ein paar haben sich dann auch blicken lassen. Es wurde wirklich alles versucht um uns die Lichter zu zeigen. Zum Ende gab es noch einen Snack und warme Getränke.
