We booked this tour on our first night in La Paz and it was a great introduction to their cuisine that combines a little history with a bit of walking tour around the city. We got to see the market and was able to sample food and drinks popular among the locals. There was plenty of food, and we were stuffed, so come with an empty stomach! I highly recommend this tour!

J'ai fait cette visite avec le guide Max, qui m'a appris plein de choses intéressantes sur la gastronomie et les coutumes locales. On a commencé par manger dans la rue, ensuite au marché, dans un resto traditionnel bolivien et ensuite dans le bar Sol y Luna. Un excellent moyen de découvrir la gastronomie bolivienne.

The great reviews of this tour are well deserved. How happy was I to see my favorite Bolivian tour guide, Max, put on his red cap in front of the Church of San Francisco! Our multi-national group of 10 immediately fell into step with our first “secret” food tasting which all of us who were not vegetarians agreed was fantastic. I will leave it to you to find out what it was. The evening was fun with lots of stories, history, great food and instructions from Max on the proper way to share beer in a group. By the time we finished our 3-1/2 tour we were full and had lots of new friends. This is a great tour and is not to be missed. Having Max as your guide is a highlight itself. Highly recommended.
