    The city of Positano is famous above all for shopping, in fact there are really many boutiques and craft shops in Positano that still today, as in the 60s, make custom-made sandals and clothes. Among the main things to see in Positano there are first of all the typical narrow and winding streets, or rather "stairways" that connect the upper part of the city to the beach. The main beaches of Positano are the Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, both reachable on foot from the city center, while the rest are only by sea.

My husband and I did the private boat tour from Sorrento to Capri. We were picked up in a shuttle bus and brought down to the ferry port to meet Alberto. Everyone was kind and helpful. Alberto was an amazing tour guide. He was caring and patient. He always checked in to see what we wanted to do. He also kept checking on me to see if I was okay because I was very nauseous on the boat. He made lunch reservations for us in Capri. He gave us plenty of recommendations to do. We didn’t go to the Blue Grotto due to how crowded it was, but we did go to the Green Grotto which was amazing. We did a lot of swimming. Alberto had drinks and snacks ready for us whenever we needed. He was a pleasure to do the tour with. I would highly recommend this tour. Alberto was the best. My family had a wonderful time. We were able to see the most beautiful views of Capri, without any of the crowds on the ferries or group tours. Our captain, Tonino, was a gem. He was kind, funny and a very experienced captain. The boat was comfortable. He listened to what our group wanted to do, mostly swimming, snorkeling and seeing sights from the boat. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch on Capri where he’d made us a reservation, which was ideal because every place was so crowded, we likely wouldn’t have been able to get in to anywhere nice without pre planning. We would do this again in a heartbeat!
