The ancient Roman city of Herculaneum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the slopes of Vesuvius. Smaller but no less important, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius 79 d.c. Numerous objects found during the excavations allow us to reconstruct what was the relationship of the inhabitants with the gods venerated in antiquity. Naturally a prominent place was reserved for the mythical Hercules, the hero who according to tradition had founded the city of Herculaneum. You have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the daily life of the population of Herculaneum through the scattered ruins that have been perfectly preserved.   • Parco Acheologico di Ercolano, Ercolano, Italy
    The ruins of Herculaneum are archaeological site in the southern Campania region, near the coast of the Gulf of Naples. Once a small and sophisticated Roman city, Herculaneum was buried under meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The site is still perfectly preserved, has remains of streets, houses and villas excavated that visitors can admire with our guide for 1.5 hrs.

Very overpriced. We only got 1.5 hours in Herculaneum and spent longer at the lunch where you were not told what you were eating or really given any explanation of the wines you were tasting. All a massive attempt to get you to buy some very overpriced wine. The guide was the one saving grace though he was excellent

Great guide (Angie) who accompanied us on the coach and excellent tour guide (Erica) in Pompeii. We all enjoyed the short but steep hike up Vesuvius.

We had booked small group skip the line, but the group was 50 people on a bus, and it was a lot of waiting time. Very inefficient. Would not recommend this to see Pompeii and Vesuvius,
