Everything was even better than expected. The tourguide knows everything about Meteora, the monastries, but also about the area and villages. We learned a lot in a really relaxing way and saw beautiful spots and viewingpoints. The driver knows what he is doing and the drive in the mini-van up to the monastries felt really safe. The sunsetview was amazing.

Fantastic tour with a great guide (and a driver). During the tour, we heard many interesting facts about Meteora and its monasteries. The sunset at the end was amazing, even with the August crowd.

Wholeheartedly recommend this tour if you are undecided about booking. The six monasteries are all fairly accessible by car, each with a varying number of steps . If you want to visit them all you need a minimum of two days. The tour, however, offers a unique experience, visiting St Stephanos (no steps) and then amazing views of the other monasteries. Our tour guide, Vasilis was exceptional, particularly his explanation of the Byzantine church in Kalambaka. As he rightly said, the tour offered us a different perspective than just visiting the monasteries. We saw other monasteries that are no longer used, built into the caves and other hidden gems, that we would not have known about otherwise. The four hours went past really quickly. There is some minimal walking involved, a rest break at a local cafe and it ends with the sunset
