The historical places are located in downtown, where we visit the Citadel with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period. Then we have a visit to the Archaeological Museum, housing an excellent collection of several Dead Sea Scrolls. We stroll via the Souq, where you get an idea of everyday life, to the Roman Theater from the 2nd century with 6000 seats. Back to Amman Hotel.

What a great trip. Taken to the citadel and roman theatre which were stunning before walking the downtown streets, markets and souks. Our driver Mazen was excellent...knowledgeable and kind. He took us to a couple of amazing local food stalls to sample authentic street food...fantastic at his job. fully reccommend.
