I actually a 3 day tour from Amman to Petra to wadi rum and back to Amman. The correspondence with Cristina was clear and prompt.
My driver was Tayseer and he was very professional and was very organized in terms of our daily schedule. He has lots of information about Jordan so you can ask him anything. He was very accommodating to my requests and perceptive to my moods. Most of all, being a solo female traveler, he was very sensitive to that and I felt protected. Also good driver! Btw the car is very comfortable and even has reliable wifi!
My guide in Petra was Samir who was great! Even though he’s a local and been giving tours for over a decade, he doesn’t make you feel like your his thousandth customer. He was very outgoing and comfortable and was able to answer all my random questions. Plus, bc he knew everyone who worked there, we were able to get in before the crowds which is A+. I saw the crowds on my way out so this itself is priceless.
My guide in wadi rum was Mohammed who was a very fun, outgoing guy. Again super accommodating and local so I felt like I was in good hands.
Everyone I encountered had that Jordanian hospitality that you’ll find in general across the country. The only thing I would warn is this is an expensive endeavor. For 2 night, 3 days it was $1150 for 1 person not including tips and 1 night’s accommodation which I arranged separately. From my research, this seemed fairly normal but just be prepared. I wish there were more group trips available but I couldn’t really find any and having been here, I didn’t really see any tourist vans on the road. Otherwise, highly recommend!
