Enter the city through the Siq, a narrow gorge over 1km in length, and admire the dazzling colors and rock formations before catching your first sight of Al Khazneh (The Treasury). As you enter the Petra valley, you will be overwhelmed by the natural beauty of this place and its outstanding architectural achievements. There are hundreds of elaborate rock-cut tombs with intricate carvings, a massive Roman-style theater to seat 3,000 people, magnificent obelisks, temples, sacrificial altars, and colonnaded streets, as well as the impressive Ad Deir Monastery overlooking the valley.

Petra city. Wadi Musa also known as Wadi Musa is growing. The shops are nice and clean. There are quite a few places to eat. And more hotels opening. Just be careful of the water. It is not always filtered in the small restaurants in town.
