Drive your own Dune Buggy through the sugar cane fields, up to the mountains and down to the beach. With all the instruction and equipment included, even beginners can learn how to drive a dune buggy. After being collected from the outside of Amber Cove Port, you will be taken to the tour starting point which is just 35 minutes away. Enjoy amazing scenery, muddy paths and a picturesque beach. Please remember to wear clothes that you don't care about, sunglasses/goggles and bandana for mud and dust.

When people tell you about getting muddy... believe it. Unfortunately, not everyone in the tour was as committed to getting filthy wet and dirty. That meant other vehicles puttered around, drove slow, and avoided the mud, The trick is to get at the back of the procession, let people get ahead of you, then gun it through every puddle possible. When you do this, you'll get rocking along. very quickly (a little out of control even) and blow through some lovely, brown mud (at least I hope it was mainly mud). When you do this, you'll find yourself absolutely smothered in muddy water. It'll blind you. You'll taste it. And you'll feel the mud puddle sloshing in your seat. Then get to the beach and go for a swim to get the filth off you, out of your hair, and off your clothes - at least as much as possible. Then get back in your buggy and do it all over again.

Very unorganized and the buggies weren't ready when we finally arrived. The path ran along the road and over rocks and nasty smelling mud puddles and through cow pastures with a stop at the beach to wash off the mud and allow the hawkers to try to sell us their wares. Something to cover your nose and mouth is mandatory!

It was a lot of fun! Definitely want to come prepared with goggles, balaclavas and wear clothes you don’t want to keep. It’s not pretty or high end but great people and mud made it a great time.
