IJsselmeer is a closed off inland bay, bordered by the Afsluitdijk (Enclosing Dike) which is the largest dike in the Netherlands with 32KM long, constructed during 1927-1932, being part of the Delta Works, Seven Modern Wonders. We will also pass by Ketelbrug, it is a bridge also a dike to get a good feeling of a dike. Unlike the largest one Enclosing dike, it is only 800-metre-long (2,600 ft) bridge opened on 15 June 1970.

The arrangement of the whole trip is very careful, also due to the needs of family members to make some small adjustments, especially the guide Cherry even thought that the children might want to eat ice cream and let our family have a fairly profound experience and visits in Oakland Village, from the factory also specialized to ask a staff member to introduce the production process for our family of four individually, our two teenage children were very happy. Highly recommend this tour and this tour

Tour was cancelled. Email was sent to my home email so did not have a means to find out about the cancellation ahead of time. Lots of stress trying to figure out what was going on. Had to find a last minute alternative for our cruise port day. Would not recommend.

I had super high expectations for this experience and very much wanted to have a quintessentially Dutch experience. The day is best described as “weird”. The first stop was a great, but highly touristed and rushed in a way that left little time to overcome the throngs. Then, there was an over long journey to Giethoorn. First of all, the driver was very novice with a manual transmission, which was interesting. After an unpublished stop at a local restaurant, we went to a boat launch that was occupied by the Dutch version of a drunken tubing experience. The canals were so rowdy and crowded, that the whole thing deteriorated into a stupid bumper boats experience in a truly whimsical town. It was a bummer. Then, the guide forced us off the boat the pace the sidewalks of the town and wait in the banks of the canal. The whole day was dissatisfying and was a gigantic waste of time.
