I was looking forward to visiting the Red Light Secrets Museum, expecting a thoughtful look into the history and realities of Amsterdam’s sex work industry. While the idea is interesting, I found the execution disappointing. The exhibits felt more surface-level and geared toward novelty rather than providing real context or meaningful insight. It leans a bit more toward being a tourist curiosity than a true museum experience. It wasn’t terrible, but for the price and the potential of the subject matter, I was hoping for something deeper and more informative.
