Taxi Transfer from cruise port terminal in Amsterdam to hotel in Amsterdam

Very smooth sailing. Disappointed about the Veranda cabin particularly the 3X3 bathroom shower which was barely able to allow movement while having a useless bathtub. The closets were small and cumbersome, the furniture dated and scraped. We just expected better from a higher end cruise line. The service, from the cabin attendants to the dining room ones, was flawless and terrific. The best I have experienced and I have traveled in most cruise lines. Their real strength is their personnel. The food was also exceptionally good, particularly in the specialty restaurants.Room service was hit or miss. One policy/practice was particularly annoying and stupid. All the dining venues open and close at the same time. So if you missed a meal your only recourse was room service. Entertainment was average for the most part. This cruise line desperately needs an activities director to drum up some excitement and keep the activities front and center. For the most part it was pretty boring on board. Tours were mediocre to bad. They need to secure better providers.

Our driver, Gavin, was prompt and professional. He said GPS has our trip as a 14 minute ride. He took it as a personal challenge. After doing a figure 8 donut out of the parking lot we careened our way through the narrow side streets of Amsterdam. We did stop for most of the red lights and only used sidewalk shortcuts 3 times. His 4 wheel drifting skills came in handy as we maneuvered around the local train traffic. Arriving well ahead of schedule with minimal impact to our precious gift artifacts we purchased on our trip. All said a fantastic experience, much more entertaining than anticipated. OK, just kidding….Gavin was great!

Our driver arrived 15 minutes early, to our delight even thought traffic was horrendous that morning. He was very professional and courteous. Our ride to the hotel from the cruise terminal was very smooth. Along the way he pointed out a couple of things as well as telling us about a fantastic place to go for dim sum. Will definitely use this service again.
