Though the Wildlife Center was the focus of this tour, the highlights of the trip were the stops and stories along the way. Gary made Alaska come alive with his history, personal stories, and descriptions of the Turnagain Arm. The group was small (about 9 people) and we developed a quick sense of community as we travelled together. Interestingly, our group represented in large part the mid-Atlantic states with the wonderful exception of one young lady visiting from Nome, AK.
I would advise that you bring your own water and snacks. There are some available at the Conservation Center but you may get thirsty before you arrive there.
All in all, well worth the time and money.
