The Monumental Ensemble of the Fortress of La Mota, houses the old walled city of Alcalá la Real.This, and the different elements of military architecture of its environment, serve as reference point to know and explain the temporal and spatial process linked to the evolution of the border during the Late Middle Ages, while serving as an example of urban development in the interior of a city intramuros in the period that covers from S. XIV to s. XVIII. We are open Monday to Sunday.

    Currently, the Monumental Ensemble of the Fortress of La Mota, has become a monumental space of the first order, a first-class reference at the tourist and heritage level. Uit nieuwsgierigheid hier naar toe gegaan en niet teleurgesteld! Voor 6 Euro per persoon incl. audiotour kwamen we veel te weten over de geschiedenis van deze plaats. Erg leuk en leerzaam en vergeet ook de schitterende vergezichten tot aan de eeuwige sneeuw op de Sierra Nevada niet. Gewoon doen als je in de buurt bent!
