This tour takes you on a journey to the east of the country and experience a beautiful area little touched by international tourism. Visit Appenzell with it`s colourful facades before heading to the tiny mountain principality of Liechtenstein, mainly just to say you have been. Some highlights Mt Santis & Hoher Kasten Appenzell Cheese Dairy Maestrani Chocolate Factory Liechtenstein Longest covered bridge in Europe over Rhine A MORE DETAILED LOOK The drive takes us along the Sihlbrugg pass and across Zürichsee to Rapperswil with its medieval castle. We journey onto Mt Säntis where from a peak of 2502 metres, one can see Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France and Italy (on a clear day). This is the highest point in the region. After this we journey onto to the green and hilly region of Appenzell where one can stroll through the quaint pedestrian zone with it`s painted wooden houses, before heading back to Luzern, popping into Vaduz in Liechtenstein on the way back.

It was great having our day tour in Switzerland with Chris! He went above and beyond to meet our interests, personalizing our itinerary while making sure we got to see as much as possible. My husband and I came to Switzerland for a week long trip for the first time. We wanted to see the eastern countryside and specifically see the restaurant, Aescher in Elbenalp! Chris was very professional and had a wealth of knowledge about the area. He customized the trip per our request and made sure he showed us important places near the area. We started our day right on time, went to St. Gallen then went to Elbenalp and had lunch in Aescher restaurant. We also strolled through Appenzell, and Chris got us icecream???? We also did a quick cheese factory tour and ended our tour in the beautiful town of Rapperswil. Chris gifted us with a cute souvenir, which definitely made our day!! Will definitely reach out to Chris for future booking. Would highly recommend Chris. ????
