Let’s start with the positive. The actual excursions were amazing! Appleton Rum was wonderful; I learned so much about the rum making process and the staff was great. YS Falls was super fun and beautiful. Horseback riding was peaceful and the staff was incredibly helpful and patient. Now the cons—we had to pay for everything. Not just Appleton Rum admission, but YS Falls and the safari/pelican bay admission (we declined that excursion because we were running out of cash). The driver stopped multiple times so that we can get snacks-that we paid for. Midway through the trip, we looked at the ticket and realized that snacks and lunch was included and once we complained, he provided a small lunch and purchase sugarcane and bammy for us. He never actually gave us the bammy though. The bathroom/house where we went horseback riding is pretty rough, so be prepared. And make sure the driver actually tells you a time to get back. My sister went the day before and he didn’t give them a time but then got mad when they were late. They were late because they were getting food. He didn’t provide any meals/snacks for them and the next day, he talked crap about them to us and told us they were drunk. Speaking of getting drunk, the rum tour is the first thing in the morning, so make sure you prepare to be tipsy for the rest of the day. It’s not safe to start the day off drinking and then go to a series of waterfalls and expect not to drown. Overall, the actual excursions were great, but the schedule is too ambitious and there needs to be truth in advertising.
