Private Petra Golf Cart tour is an excellent way to discover Petra from Aqaba port. The full day tour will take you into the Rose Red City.     Greet your English-speaking chauffeur, who will be holding up a sign with your name, at the port after your cruise ship docks. Leave for Petra in a private air-conditioned vehicle at 8:30 am (pick up time is flexible : can be 9 or 10 am -function of your cruise ship time!) Your tour guide & gold cart  will meet you in Petra for a 1.5-hour tour. Your tour guide will share the history of the city with you, make sure you bring your camera. The majestic city of Petra, carved into the rose red rock 2000 years ago is a must visit attraction. Petra can be reached by the Siq (narrow gorge). The treasury was made famous in the movie Indiana Jones & the last crusade. In addition to the treasury, you will see the street of facades, the early necropolis, the Roman theater, the royal tombs and other monuments. Lunch at a local restaurant is also included.  You will then be returned to the port in advance of your cruise ship's departure.

  • As petra park administration is organizing the golf carts , it is not guaranteed that you will be allowed to go down (in the golf cart ) beyond the treasury ,this is possible for people who can show and proof that they can not walk.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

This was supposed to be a private tour but we were uncomfortably joined by another couple causing a seating problem. Our driver spoke a VERY limited English and tried to get another $60 dollars to take us to wadi run on the way back. The full day tour was 7 hours. The time at Petra was very rushed. The buffet lunch was excellent but the ladies room was dirty

Early and fast driver picked us up at the port and we went to Petra and were able to get a golf cart before the crowds came and toured with a very knowledgeable and good guide who helped us take great pictures. We were able to get back to the ship for lunch.

Our driver Omar was so nice, personable, and thoughtful. Petra is so interesting but wow, lots of people. So happy we had a golf cart!!
