A great hike, friendly guide, and an overall worthwhile experience. Altitude was not a factor, and we traveled rapidly, which suited me.

I had always wanted to see Aconcagua. Cristina was a superb guide: knowledgeable, informative and a great companion in the mountains for a solo traveller. She set just the right pace for me at my age and we reached Confluencia after 3 hours. At the camp, Cristina pulled out of her rucksack an incredible lunch: boiled eggs, fresh bread, salami, cheese and, can you believe it, an avocado and a cup of tea. Wow!
It took 2.5 hours to get back down and we then drove back to Mendoza. The weather was glorious.
A wonderful experience and grateful thanks to Cristina for making it so enjoyable.
