Discover Buenos Aires from an anthropological point of view. Don't expect to just walk and listen: be prepared to talk, make questions and discuss about the past, present and future of the Argentinean capital.
Beginning in Lezama Park and ending in Casa Rosada, this walk offers you the chance to approach this beautiful city from its historical past in an attempt to understand its current present.
Who were the first inhabitants? Why were the British so interested in this shores? Where is the African-descendant population? Where did all these white people come from? What is the deal with Evita and Perón? Who were the "desaparecidos" during the military dictatorship? And why do we have such a big problem with the US dollar?
These are just some of the many questions we will try to answer in our walk through the most historical part of town.

Nico was so informed - he knew everything about Argentina’s history and also grew up in Buenos Aires so had so much personal experience to speak from. The tour was a small group so we felt like we really bonded and really got to authentically talk about our experiences and questions. We also stopped for a coffee/bathroom break twice which was a nice way to break up the tour. Great way to spend an afternoon or morning!

Fascinating - but could have done with a bit more structure. You will really learn some
fascinating things, at times distressing, at times just academically intriguing. This is not a standard touristy photo-op tour at all…and thus very refreshing. Sadly on our tour there was an elderly couple (we’re mid 60’s so we are not ageist!) who really should not have booked a
walking tour. Their slow pace, need for stops and eventual “retirement” was a shame. It’s hard to fault our guide as they can’t verify their clients suitability ahead of time…he was very well versed in the society and politics he was explaining and we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, which was helped by the eclectic but generally interesting group of fellow curious people!

This was a really fun and informative tour of Buenos Aires. The tour took us through the San Telmo neighborhood and ended at Plaza de Mayo. Along the way, we learned about the history of Buenos Aires, the significant buildings and historical figures and experienced the street markets. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and loved sharing information about the city. This was a great way to learn about Buenos Aires!
