Darwin Experience is a Kayak crossing on the Santa Cruz River, El Calafate. We do about 15 km of paddling until we reach a typical Patagonian stay where we will wait for you with an outdoor lunch.

We pick up all passengers staying in hotels within the city of El Calafate.

  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries

  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Minimum age 12 years.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Impeccable work of guides Hector and Ruben, as well as driver Nacho (a genius at the wheel), Second cook and assistant Franco. The exquisite food and friendliness of the unrivalled staff, 100% friendly at all times, from the start with the directions to paddle as well as when giving the directions to put on the neoprene clothes and of course telling the story of Darwin.  We had a spectacular day, no winds, which led to everything being enjoyed twice as much. You could see the joy in the group and we could all enjoy every moment.
