Darwin Experience is a Kayak crossing on the Santa Cruz River, El Calafate. We do about 15 km of paddling until we reach a typical Patagonian stay where we will wait for you with an outdoor lunch.

We pick up all passengers staying in hotels within the city of El Calafate.

  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries

  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Minimum age 12 years.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Foi um dia muito especial. Os guias, Herman e Pablo foram incríveis, muito simpáticos e receptivos. O passeio de Kayak foi tranquilo, não exigiu muito esforço porque o Rio ajuda na correnteza. O Herman nos ensinou como andar e foi nos ajudando todo o percurso, nos dando segurança com ótimo humor. Passeio diferente, que vale a pena.

We took the kayak ride on the Santa Cruz River and it was an amazing experience. We did in the winter and Darwin Experience provided the necessary equipment and a guide to face this adventure!!!!!! Congratulations to guide Herman and driver Nacho, for professionalism and sympathy. They are super prepared and professional. We highly recommend!!!!
