The Monastery of Geghard, Geghard, Armenia Geghard Monastery is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. The name commonly used for the monastery today, Geghard, or more fully Geghardavank, meaning “the Monastery of the Spear”, originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion. It is believed, that the spear was brought to Armenia by Apostle Jude, called here Thaddeus, and stored amongst many other relics. Now it is displayed in the Echmiadzin treasury. The monastery complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status. 60 minutes
Charent's Arch, Garni, Armenia Driving along the Yerevan-Garni highway, you can see the Charents Arch on the right side of the road on a hill. The monument is named after the great Armenian poet and great patriot Yeghishe Charents. It is believed that he often visited this place and loved to enjoy the fantastic scenery opening from here. Simple at first glance, the stone arch is actually a very interesting monument. The fact is that from here a stunning view of the great biblical mountain Ararat opens all day long. Therefore, the second name of the monument is the Arch of Ararat. This place is a favorite and popular attraction. Tourists visiting Armenia come here to enjoy the breathtaking views and take photos. 60 minutes

It is included in the list of RA natural monuments. The monument consists of huge symmetric hexagon and pentagon basalt columns (nearly 50 meters high), which seem to be handmade due to their amazing symmetry. These stones hanging against the gravity resemble an organ, which explains why it is also referred to as “Basalt Organ Pipes”. The Azat River flows through the gorge, filling the stone splendor with the sound of water. 60 minutes

Wonderful and informative experience. Thanks to Hasmik for the informative and knowledge she shared about the history of the places we visited.Even though we are two different language in a group she gave time to explain in both Armenian and English . It’s all worth it thanks to Hasmik for her enthusiasm and Edgar to our driver for a smooth driving and keeping us safe on the road.

You get to see a great variety of sites around Yerevan in a short period of time. The Monastery and Symphony of Stones were the highlights for me. The guide was excellent, providing great information about each site before giving you free time to explore the places.

We, a group of 16 friends, had a fantastic tour! Communication beforehand was very clear via a WhatsApp message with detailed info about the schedule, pickup location, clothing advice, and the need to bring cash (in Armenian dram) for some entrance tickets. Our English-speaking guide was super friendly and efficiently arranged the entrance tickets for the Symphony of Stones and the Garni Temple. During the bus ride, she asked if we could give her the cash so she could buy all the entrance tickets for the group — which made the process very smooth. At the Monastry and the Garni Temple, she gave a short (~20 minutes) explanation and then we had time to explore on our own (~30 minutes). Lunch was delicious at a cozy little restaurant, where they have a simple English menu with 6 options to choose from. Lunch was at your own cost, we think you could pay by card, but bring cash just in case. At the restaurant we also got to see a lavash-making demonstration and tasting — very special! We really recommend this trip. Everything was perfectly organized, and the Symphony of Stones was absolutely stunning!
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
