On this 8-9-hour tour visit Echmiadzin Mother Cathedral, the main cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the very first Christian cathedral in the World (from outside). It is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Also see the church of St. Gayane and St. Hripsime churches that are among the three churches in Echmiadzin dedicated to the Christian women-martyrs escaped from Rome with their abbess Gayane. Stop in Zvartnots, the medieval temple of St. Gregory built in the 7th century. It was one of the tallest buildings of the time (45-49m). Today the ruins of the temple can be seen in Zvartnots. Visit Garni, the only pagan temple which exists in Armenia before moving onto Geghard monastery, a complex which is carved in a cave. All the sights are listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Great day with Elisabeth and Sergei that provided a top service. We really got a good and broad view of Armenia's history with a very knowledgeable and kind guide. Lunch option in Garni was great and the transport was also very good with a clean and ACed car.
