This is the best day tour from Porto to the Arouca 516 Suspension. With a very convenient pick-up from central Porto you will head straight to Arouca. In Arouca there is a brief stop where you are invited to taste the local specialities, enjoy the green area just outside the monastery and to get ready for the connection between Arouca and the 516 Arouca. Around 20 minutes after departing from Arouca we reach the bridge and the Paiva Walkways! For the next 3 to 4 hours (depending on the pace of the group, weather conditions, picture times, etc.) you will spend your time crossing the bridge and walking along the Paiva river in a wooden walkway. After this great hike we follow a mountain road for 15 minutes and have lunch in a family owned restaurant in Alvarenga! The ride back to Porto will last for around 90 minutes. Be brave! Join us!

We had a great time on this daytrip! Our guide Pedro was very nice and had a lot of information about the area! The first stop of the day in Arouca was great. We tested local sweats in a charming little cafe. Then we went to the bridge and the hike. It was, as expected, beautiful. Even under the clouds! During the walk, the sun appeared, and it was even nicer. For lunch, we ate in a local restaurant, and the food was typical, and also delicious. We would recomend this tour and our guide, everything was perfect!

We did this trip on our last full day in Porto after drinking our way through the city and valley. While we had a couple of people in the group that were apprehensive of crossing the bridge, the experience was well worth it, and both made it across without issues! The following walk was absolutely beautiful and we had such a nice time with the guide during and after the walk. Lunch was delicious and they were very accommodating to the dietary restrictions (gluten free for one, and no seafood for another). The whole group would absolutely recommend going again.

Well what can I say? From start to finish we just had the best day. We started off being picked up outside of our hotel and taken to a little Portuguese village to have coffee and pastries which were delicious. We then went to the suspension bridge and walkways. Beautiful breathtaking views and our guide Andre was very knowledgeable about the history and the landscape of the tour. We then went for one of the best lunches I’ve ever had. Plenty of food and wine left us feeling Satisfied after a few hours walking. 10/10 Would recommend to anyone. Andre really made the experience one to remember! Thank you!
