While I am interested in ancient history, I wanted a different slant to my visit to Assisi. Monia, my guide, was terrific and I ended up getting both ends of history! I had no idea about what happened in Assisi during the was and it was fascinating to hear the stories. Monia was also very helpful when there was an unexpected bus strike and I was delayed arriving up from the station. Thanks for waiting, Monia.????
