We will begin our experience early in the morning by meeting at "Porta Carini" entrance door to one of the most famous markets in the city, the Cape. We will enter the market alleys, full of merchandise, and here we will buy everything needed to make the menu you choose together. Among the stalls full of goods, between colors and voices you will have the impression of being in one of the souks of any Muslim city. Visiting a market in Palermo is a multicultural experience, they fully express the multifaceted and cosmopolitan culture of the Palermo area. After our purchases, we will head towards my house, which is just a few minutes from Piazza Politeama. Here our experience will continue with the preparation of the dishes. Under my supervision, my kitchen will become the setting for your culinary creations.

My wife and I took Marco's cooking class and we were very pleased with the experience. Chef Marco is a super friendly guy and we all had a lot of fun in the market and cooking. We started by selecting foods we would prepare back at Marco's house in the market. It was a fun experience and we tried some coffee and fresh juice in the market. Then you head to the cooking class a 10 minute walk to Marco's apartment. We had 3 additional couples in the class and everyone had time to participate in the cooking and preparation. Everything we made was then enjoyed at the table with wine. I was a great way to spend some time in Sicily and if you are looking for a great experience I highly recommend this class. While the class, food and market were good it is Chef Marco that is the star. He has a great personality which adds to the experience! Highly recommended!

Marco was lovely, had such a great day, he’s very inspiration! The food we cooked was great and he gave us suggestions but let us pick essentially what our menu was.

A cooking tour with Chef Marco of Casa di Cilla is a fun and informative way to experience the culture and cuisine of Palermo. Chef Marco is a friendly and dynamic teacher who offers an experience of Capo Market, the opportunity to choose ingredients to prepare an authentic Sicilian meal and dessert, as well as meet fellow visitors to Palermo. The Capo Market and Chef Marco’s home are very close and everything about this tour is fun, relaxed, and convenient. Our family felt immediately at home with Chef Marco and we consider our experience at Casa di Cilla to be one of the highlights of our visit to the remarkable city of Palermo. Grazie mille, Chef Marco!
