Athens Sea Kayak Tour to the Temple of Poseidon with entrance fee and lunch

This tour was a wonderful experience. Our guides were personal and friendly. It honestly felt like we were kayaking with a couple of old friends. Among our favorite experiences while in Greece. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Greece.

Our family of four lives this kayak and tour of Poseidon’s temple. This was our favorite activity in Athens. We loved being on the Aegean Sea in kayaks, the stop at a little be h to swim at the midpoint of the kayaking, walking around the temple at sunset,and the dinner after. But I think what we enjoyed most was the company of our guides. We were picked up at our hotel by Gabrielle who safely drove us to the kayak site. Once we arrived we met Pardalis and Ares who were our kayaking guides, after putting on life vests and a safety demonstration, we got started. They made us feel so safe kayaking in the sea (we had previously only kayaked in rivers) and provided very clear instructions on where to go and what side of their kayaks we should be on. They were extremely encouraging. Halfway we stopped at a small beach where Pardalis charmed our daughters (12 and 14) by showing them some sea creatures and digging in the sand with them for treasures. We were provided snacks during g the beach stop to refuel our energy for the paddle back. On the way back Ares got all of our kayaks together and told us the story of how the Aegean Sea got its name. After paddle back, Gabrielle drive us to the temple, bought our tickets, and gave us free time to look around at our leisure. When we were finished at the temple, he drive us back down for dinner in a lovely restaurant on the beach. We were able to dine with Pardalis, Ares, and Gabrielle who all three helped my daughter who is learning Greek with her pronunciation. We had some amazing seafood and tried some new things that are delicious. After dinner Gabrielle drive us back to our hotel. It was an amazing experience with amazing people. Book it if you are in Athens, you won’t regret it! I also want to add, Trekking Hellas is extremely honest and easy to work with. We originally booked as a group of six but on the day of our booking the weather was unsafe to kayak and George contacted us well before the tour. to offer a reschedule or refund. Two of our group were unable to reschedule, but George refunded them and rebooked the rest of us.

Truly fantastic day, we booked last minute and the team were super helpful and responsive. The whole day is very well set up and seeing the temple from the sea is magic. You also have time to visit the temple itself and swim and then finish with traditional taverna lunch in a beautiful location. George and Magda were friendly, professional and welcoming. Highly recommend this trip!
